Title:
AFSIM Instructor - PART TIME
KBR is seeking an Advanced Framework for Modeling, Simulation, and Modeling (AFSIM) subject matter expert (SME) to serve part-time as an instructor to entry level AFSIM analysts. KBR has a footprint of three junior analysts who provide Army Fires (field artillery and air and missile defense) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) analysis in support of the Army Center for Army Analysis (CAA) on Fort Belvoir. KBR expects to expand the AFSIM operator support in the near-future. The instructor will serve as an instructional resource for team members who have yet to obtain a security clearance and other assistance as may be necessary to support the CAA effort. Instructor will support developing a training strategy for new AFSIM operators and assist in implementing that strategy over time.
The instructor will:
- Serve as a trainer for new AFSIM operators
- Develop and implement – and/or support those efforts – concerning a training program for new AFSIM analysts
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an AFSIM operator
- Must be a US citizen
A SECRET security clearance -or the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance is required.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- BA/BS degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Math, Engineering or Economics) requiring substantial college-level mathematics.
- Familiarity with Joint weapon/ Army systems/ Army Fires systems
