Job Summary and Qualifications
The Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) promotes high quality, patient-centered care by assisting the CNO in executive-level management of resources, strategic planning, and development. The ACNO has operational and functional responsibility for a group of patient care areas and/or special projects or initiatives. The ACNO will develop communication, knowledge, leadership, professionalism, and business skills necessary to advance to a CNO.

Assists CNO in formulating policies/procedures which are consistent with recognized standards of professional practice, and which reflect the intent of regulatory standards to maintain authority, accountability, and responsibility for nursing services.

HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is a 497 -bed acute-care hospital. Offering a full range of services. We are home to the most experienced Heart Institute on the Treasure Coast and offers diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic care, including open heart surgery. Our services include a 24/7 emergency department, pediatric emergency department, labor/delivery and birthing, pediatrics, orthopedics, oncology, nuclear medicine, diagnostic services, and a full range of inpatient and outpatient general surgical services.
We are home to the area's only Level III NICU, Level II Trauma Center, PICU and comprehensive stroke care.
