Objective
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop and integrate embedded software for automotive electronic control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive embedded software experience, hands-on expertise with MATLAB and Simulink, and a solid understanding of automotive software development processes and standards. ASPICE certification is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, integrate, and validate embedded software for automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
• Develop embedded software and control models using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Translate system and software requirements into robust embedded software solutions.
• Perform software design, implementation, debugging, integration, and testing.
• Develop and integrate software components within automotive embedded architectures.
• Support Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and unit testing activities.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware integration issues at ECU and vehicle level.
• Work with automotive communication networks and protocols, including CAN and LIN.
• Ensure software development activities and documentation comply with ASPICE processes and applicable automotive standards.
• Participate in software design reviews, verification, validation, and release activities.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, controls, validation, and other cross-functional engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive embedded software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
• ASPICE certification.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded applications.
• Experience with Model-Based Development (MBD).
• Experience developing software for ECUs and microcontrollers.
• Experience with software integration, debugging, testing, and validation.
• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, particularly CAN and LIN.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and real-time software development.
• Fluent English.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with Stateflow and AUTOSAR.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and MISRA.
• Experience with automotive diagnostics such as UDS.
• Experience with automotive development and validation tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Vector DaVinci, Embedded Coder, and Polyspace.
• Experience with Git, JIRA, CI/CD, and Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Experience with HIL testing and automotive software validation.
