Summary:
In search of a highly motivated, task-oriented Cognos report developer with working knowledge of Costpoint tables to work as an integral member the Enterprise Systems Team (EST) that manages a diversified and growing suite of systems including Costpoint, Cognos, T&E, Cobra and OnBase. Overall knowledge of Costpoint with in-depth knowledge of the following Costpoint modules: billing, accounting, projects. This position is located within the Cognos group and will work independently and as a team to support users across the enterprise to support the business workflow and operational requirements. May need to provide support outside regular hours.
Qualified Candidates will:
• Provide superior customer support
• Have a team player mindset, good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Create new and update existing reports using best practice standards to minimize impact to performance
• Prepare and maintain new report documentation, including requirements, specifications, business use case and level of effort
• Provide expertise and assistance to ensure that all reports follow an approved path to production and are designed to meet SOX, audit and security requirements
• Perform data analysis and help business in reconciliation between ERP and reports
• Support technical upgrades through testing and troubleshooting prior to application of system changes
• Support Government and internal audits in a timely manner
Required Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of reporting and analytics experience with Deltek Costpoint and T&E
• Ability to communicate with users to design, develop and implement new solutions and/or changes to existing designs based on unique requirements
• Understanding of PL/SQL scripts, queries
• Experience working with Cognos 11 required
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint 8 and TE10
• Proficiency in Excel and entire Microsoft Suite including Teams
• Willing to work nights and weekends business needs during surge times
Additional Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of change control processes for framework manager in accordance with IT corporate policies
• Experience with Cobra a plus
• Understanding of the underlying Costpoint and T&E databases and concepts – ERD, working/temp tables, etc.
• Experience in data mining role, with strong analytical skills
• Dashboard creation and support experience – Power BI knowledge is a plus
