The AVP, Performance Transformation is a strategic leader responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of global operations. This role oversees the process improvement initiative backlog, the development of innovative strategies (i.e., automation and AI) and implementation of advanced technological solutions to improve operations. This role serves as the lead for managing the transition of work and handoffs between HCA Healthcare and vendors supporting operational transformation in a global setting.
Core Responsibilities:
Operational Performance:
- Develop and execute a strategy for operational excellence that incorporates process improvement, technology integration and team alignment
- Manage the portfolio of performance improvement initiatives leading the governance around identification, prioritization and development across global business areas
- Manage the relationship with operations and business leaders to ensure integration and adoption of solutions
- Lead developing new ways of working and interaction models for global teams to drive seamless transition of work between shared services groups
- Oversee the execution and tracking of the tax strategy
- Oversee an annual quality assurance / audit process for all Global Capability Network operations
Technology, Automation & AI:
- Oversee the development and deployment of AI and automation solutions in collaboration with Care Transformation & Innovation and Information Technology Group to improve operational efficiencies
- Assess and procure cutting-edge technology solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, processes, or business outcomes that align with our strategic goals, collaborating with Information Technology Group and technical teams for design, architecture and implementation support
Data Analytics:
- Develop robust reporting and analytics frameworks to quantify the effectiveness of implemented solutions and process changes
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions, quantifying key areas of improvement and ensure the Global Capability Network is tracking towards expected savings targets
- Refine performance improvement strategies and update senior-level executives including the board on the ROI of investments
Competencies
Professional:
- Experience with global capability networks and understand the importance of developing seamless handoffs and ways of working across global teams
- Collaborate closely with global business teams to develop and deploy new ways of working for effective integration between the global shared service groups
- Communicate effectively the value and ROI to senior-level executives and board members on automation, technical solutions or process improvement initiatives
- Experience with methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive process enhancements and ensure sustainable improvements
- Assess and manage performance of any technical vendor solutions
- Communicate the strategic objectives that are driving the prioritization criteria for performance improvement initiatives
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels in a hybrid, multicultural environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- 8-10 years of experience in Performance Improvement
- 5-7 years of experience managing cross-functional teams
- Experience with automation and AI solutions
- Experience working across geographic regions preferred
- Previous consulting and / or advisory experience highly preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of time, including international travel
- Located in Nashville, TN
