Job Summary and Qualifications
The Medical Office Coordinator assures customer satisfaction (patients, visitors, physicians and staff), providing support to the department staff and Director demonstrating effective communication.
· You will maintain departmental calendar. Schedule patients for outpatient appointments for the clinic, central scheduling, and physician offices.
· Collect data regarding patient test results and office visits from locations including HCA hospitals, Physicians offices, outside laboratory and post this information in the patient’s electronic and paper record.
· Maintain patient records to meet regulatory standards including assisting in documentation of reason for visits to assist in coding to facilitate the billing process.
· Does filing and faxes records to the referring physician offices.
· Collect/audit statistical data daily/monthly for designated areas. Provide daily/monthly reports as requested. Assist in maintaining policy and procedure manuals assigned.
What qualifications you will need:
· Clerical / receptionist office or equivalent experience is required, preferably in a medical office environment
· Proficient in the use of MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Meditech. Exposure to medical terminology;
