Job Summary and Qualifications
As our Central Sterile Manager, you will manage the day to day operations of the Central Sterile Department ensuring decisions, actions and group performance contributes to achievement of the department, and hospital’s goals and mission.
- Demonstrate clinical competence to practice within Central Sterile’s Scope of Care.
- Communicate effectively with staff, peers, Surgical Director, external and internal customer.
- Utilize quality improvement as basis to improve unit/departmental process.
- Maintain unit readiness for regulatory surveys.
- Assume accountability for decisions and actions.
What qualifications you will need:
- (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician certification required
- 4+ years Management experience in hospital setting with knowledge of instrumentation and sterile process is required
- Basic computer word processing skills are also required
- 5 years Central Sterile Management and Operating Room Supply Experience is preferred
- Bachelors’ degree is preferred with Central Sterile experience
