Job Description As a Reliability Maintenance Technician, you will drive the operational excellence and long-term reliability of our large machining systems. Leveraging deep expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and control systems, you will move beyond reactive repairs to implement proactive, data-driven maintenance strategies. You will be responsible for root cause analysis, CMMS optimization, and the management of critical spare parts and asset BOMs. This role requires a strategic problem-solver capable of leading maintenance teams and contractors, managing CAPEX investment recommendations, and collaborating with OEMs to minimize downtime and ensure total operational readiness.
Responsibilities Include:
- Troubleshoot equipment failures, conducting root cause analyses to identify and implement corrective actions, and prevent future failures
- Develop and implement improved maintenance plans, standardizing processes across the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to optimize equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Manages facility equipment and tooling spare parts inventories to ensure operational readiness
- Use the CMMS to identify and implement equipment-specific maintenance strategies.
- Support Machine Runoff
- Maintain and adjust asset BOM's as needed
- Provide direction to Maintenance Technicians and specialized contractors, such as plumbing and electrical professionals
- Maintaining records of equipment installations, malfunctions, maintenance and repairs
- Develop equipment specific improvement plans, investment recommendations (CAPEX), and estimate project cost
- Staying current on machinery recalls, safety guidelines and evolving industry standards
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Minimum of 6 years in troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems on machine tools or equivalent experience
- Experience working with machine controllers parameters and logic systems
- Experience with large machine tools and maintenance strategies
- The ability to read engineering drawings and schematics
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency
- Good computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- A high level of awareness of industrial safety hazards and how to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Experience with Siemens, Fanuc, and Heidenhain controls
- Experience working with machine controllers parameters and logic systems
- Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Project management experience and skills
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92180 - $156707
