Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, processes and dispenses medication/IV orders, provides routine clinical services and drug information, assists in performance improvement activities, supervises the activities of pharmacy technicians, participates in patient/staff education, and performs related duties as assigned.
Special Skills and Qualifications:
Clinical skills in kinetic dosing; antibiotic recommendations, and patient medication review preferred.
Understands that failure to follow established SOP’s for hazardous drugs could potentially lead to risk of adverse effects which may include but not limited to skin rashes, reproductive effects, chronic effects, and cancer.
What qualifications you will need:
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Current RPh licensure from Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- APCE IV certification required
- Pharmacist
- Bachelors Degree
