Job Description: Piping Completions Coordinator
KBR is seeking a Piping Completions Coordinator to join our team on a large-scale multiyear LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) project located in Plaquemines Parish LA. The Piping Completions Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of piping systems during construction and commissioning phases. This individual is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the final walkdown inspections and verifying the system’s completeness and quality of piping installations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, engineering personnel and quality assurance staff to plan and schedule piping walkdowns.
- Establish effective communication channels to track progress, issues, and resolutions.
- Lead and participate in comprehensive walkdown inspections of piping systems to verify that they meet design specification, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all components, supports, connection, and associated equipment are properly installed and functional.
- Compile a comprehensive punch list of outstanding issues, discrepancies, and deficiencies identified during walkdown completions.
- Categorize items based on the severity and impact on system integrity and safety.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Validate the completion of punch list items through follow-up inspection.
- Generate detailed walkdown completion reports, including a summary of punch list items, resolutions, and validation results.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to facilitate the seamless transition of completed piping systems for commissioning and operation.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years working experience in Construction Management, or related field
- Proven experience as a Piping Completion Coordinator or similar role in large-scale construction projects, preferably within the energy or LNG sector.
- Proficiency in using construction management software such as Co-Console, Smart Completion, MCplus and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple walkdown inspections simultaneously.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, P&IDs’ and schematics.
- This position is contingent upon having a current/valid TWIC card or having the ability to renew or obtain a TWIC card. The TWIC card must be kept current and maintained through employment.
