Title:
Systems Engineer
Systems Engineer position performing systems engineering design development and analysis on a Mobile Ground Weapons Platform incorporating multiple subsystems, including but not limited to, High Energy Laser Weapons Subsystem (HEL), Electrical Power Distribution Subsystem (EPDS), Thermal Management (TMS), Command, Control and Communications Subsystem (C3S) onto a Combat Vehicle System (CVS) in an extremely fast-paced prototyping environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support hardware development and integration, and IR&D efforts.
- Develop and optimize Systems Architecture.
- Develop system and subsystem architectures(s), requirements and critical interfaces (ICDs).
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Lead trade studies, evaluates system performance and design, performs CONOPS development, mission analysis, and evaluates Human Machine Interfaces.
- Prepare and present technical materials during technical and/or program reviews.
- Support review of document deliveries.
- Work with multiple teammates and subcontractors to design, build and test systems.
- Assist in the hardware and software testing of system and subsystems in Hardware-in-the-Loop environments and on actual operational hardware during system development and preparation of demonstrations and fielding.
- Support system integration and test procedure generation.
- Brief senior management and customers on technical progress and design status.
- Perform Hardware integration and analysis for a real-time system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering or Physics and 5 or more years of experience, or Master’s Degree (MS/MA) in Engineering or Physics and 3 or more years of related experience is required.
- 3 years of direct Systems Engineering experience working System Architectures and the SE Design Process.
- Secret clearance required (requires US citizenship).
Desired Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering experience
- Mechanical Engineering experience
- Knowledge of Software Systems Engineering to maintain system software configuration and incorporate into the Systems Architecture
- Experience with Closed-Loop Controls Systems and System Interconnectivity.
