As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Labor and Delivery, your voice to influence patient care is valued and empowered at every turn –whether through open, collaborative relationships with your direct manager or more formal opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives. You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.
Job Summary and Qualifications
- You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
- You will operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- You will collaborate with subject matter experts and other leaders to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- You will support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- You will function as a resource person for staff members and provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent. Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
- AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring required
- STABLE required
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification required within 6 months of hire
- 2+ years applicable experience required
- Leadership experience preferred
