Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Manager within our Supply Chain Management org to lead and manage the Commodity Planning team responsible for developing and executing supply plans for assigned electronic commodities. This leader will ensure supply plans support OCI capacity and customer commitments, proactively identify shortages and excess, and drive practical mitigation strategies across a complex, fast-moving supply chain.
This is a highly visible people-leadership role for a strong supply chain professional who combines analytical rigor, operational judgment, and executive presence. The successful candidate will partner closely with Sourcing, Demand Management, Product Management, Finance, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to translate demand signals into executable supply plans, manage risk, and communicate clear recommendations to senior leadership.
Based in Nashville, this manager will also serve as the in-person dotted-line manager for New College Graduate employees working from the Nashville office three days per week, providing day-to-day coaching, support, and local leadership.
Internal Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Commodity Planning team responsible for assigned commodity and top-level supply plans, ensuring plans are accurate, timely, and aligned to business commitments.
Own the operating rhythm for supply planning, including plan reviews, supply-risk assessments, shortage and excess reporting, and escalation management.
Identify supply-demand imbalances early and lead cross-functional mitigation plans that protect customer delivery, revenue, margin, and working capital.
Develop inventory strategies, including targets, buffers, allocation approaches, and risk-mitigation plans that balance service levels, cost, and inventory health.
Partner with Sourcing Management, Demand Management, Product Management, Finance, contract manufacturers, and suppliers to ensure suppliers receive the right demand signal at the right time.
Align across product managers, supply types, and planning horizons to maintain a cohesive, executable commodity supply plan.
Assess forward-looking supply capability, constraints, and revenue risk; present clear scenarios, decisions, and recommendations to senior management and executive audiences.
Communicate business performance through concise reporting on supply status, shortages, excess, inventory, and mitigation progress.
Mentor, coach, and develop planners; establish clear priorities, build technical and business capability, and foster ownership and accountability.
Provide in-person dotted-line leadership and mentorship for Nashville-based New College Graduates, supporting their integration, development, and onsite work experience.
