Job Summary and Qualifications
- Functions in the capacity of scrub tech, circulator, and monitor person for diagnostic and interventional procedures and cares for patients post procedure with an RN or LPN.
- Assists physician with cardiac catheterization procedures and contributes to cardiac diagnosis.
- Restocks and cleans work area to promote patient safety.
- Responsible for all phases of the Digital Imaging system ; PACS
- Transports and assists with the setup preparation of patients.
- Actively supports team as participant to turn over procedure room in a timely manner.
- Actively participates in continuing education.
- Serves as a liaison for the electrophysiology lab to promote physician, interdepartmental and intradepartmental relationships.
- Utilizes equipment and performs special procedures competently as related to the Cath Lab Scope of Care.
- Efficiently communicates verbal and written information, instruction or education to the patient, family members and other members of the health care team as appropriate.
- Takes call as needed per hospital policy.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- High School Graduate / GED
- Associate Degree
- (RVS) Registered Vascular Specialist, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
