Position Overview:
As a Human Resource Coordinator at Galen College of Nursing, you will serve in a local customer-facing HR role that provides initial support to employees; the face of the HR office that handles routine inquiries and guides employees seeking HR assistance to the appropriate source of information. Also provides support to the HR team and leaders in collecting, compiling, and coordinating information and helping implement local tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding new employees and ensuring all parties meet documentation requirements for new hire orientation.
- Responsible for new hire paperwork and follow up on equipment needs and scrub distribution to faculty.
- Initiate background checks for all new hires, drug screening for faculty, and notification emails to employees.
- Attends the new employee orientation.
- Responsible for employee files, audits and entering and maintaining HR data in Paycor, NURSYS and other systems.
- Support local employee engagement and community events or activities.
- Monitor and follow up with faculty on expiring certifications and immunizations.
- Maintains employee confidence and protects data by keeping information confidential.
- Assist talent acquisition team with various recruiting tasks.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Education: Associate Degree
- Experience: 1 – 2 years working within a Human Resources Department.
- Special Qualifications: Multi-site support required. Proven experience building relationships, credibility. Must be extremely organized, able to focus on attention to detail, and ability to multi-task. Must always be able to maintain confidentiality. Strong communicator.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit at a computer desk for 8 hours per day.
- Degree of Supervision: Minimal supervision.
