This is an exciting opportunity to join Edelman’s marketing function, which builds and maintains the Edelman brand and reputation, to help drive growth. You will work as part of the U.S. based team who develop and execute the marketing and communications strategy for the firm across the region.
The Marketing function works across a range of cross-sector programs, IP and employee engagement initiatives, creating a pipeline of content that brings recognition to Edelman and attracts the best talent, and best clients.
In this role, the US Case Studies & Awards Manager will be responsible for managing Edelman’s awards and jury participation across the North America region, including planning, submitting and tracking according to the defined strategy. They will be a key partner to teams across the business in pulling their case studies together, project-managing the timelines, supporting in the creation of assets and in-putting into best practice storytelling and approach. The right candidate will be excited about using their initiative to bring fame and recognition to Edelman and its teams for the amazing client work they do every day.
This role will report into the Global Senior Marketing Director for the Case Studies & Awards function of the business, focused on highlighting our most creative and strategic work. Just this year, Edelman won 16 Cannes Lions, showcasing innovation and creative excellence in marketing.
- Manage the awards participation across North America. This includes identifying, collating and tracking case studies for award submissions, as well as managing the award entry process from planning, through creation to submission. More specifically:
- Serve as go-to driver across the region for our strongest campaigns; in partnership with stakeholders across creative, strategy and client leadership
- Advise on which awards and categories to enter; plan annual roadmaps
- Submit to awards programs throughout the year, in accordance with overarching awards strategy
- Develop and maintain relationships with award organizers and key contacts
- Ensure comprehensive tracking of all award entries and results
- Share awards news, providing summaries of awards entries & wins as appropriate
- Manage awards show & ceremony logistics including guest list, booking, trophies
- Offer a view of key industry winners when appropriate (e.g. Cannes Lions)
Support case study creation and delivery across North America. This includes understanding the work and knowing what makes a brilliant, awards-worthy case, encouraging best practice regarding case studies and helping teams to get their work to the next level. More specifically:
Share guidance, templates and best practice
Help teams improve written content and case presentation
Work with internal and external designers and production specialists to deliver top quality submissions assets
Write bespoke case content as appropriate for different award shows, internal/external audiences and platforms
Work with the rest of the marketing team to distribute case studies, e.g. provide case content for media profiling, creative platforms, internal meetings, newsletters etc.
Manage jury participation across North America, ensuring Edelman and its people are represented on the circuit.
Identify potential jury members across the business
Keep biographies up-to-date
Proactively pitch people in for placements
Feed participation into the global jury tracker
$62,000 - $111,000 a year
An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
