Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the general supervision of the Director or Laboratory Services, the Medical Technologist provides clinical laboratory services to patients in accordance with accepted practices and Departmental and Hospital standards of care.
What you will do in this role:
- Assists in data collection for statistical surveys or other reports generated by the Department.
- Participates in performance improvement activities within the Department.
- Facilitates communication between the Laboratory and members of the Medical Staff and other Hospital Departments to enhance patient care services.
- Notifies supervisors of any unusual requests to ensure maximum utilization of resources and maintenance of quality care.
- Performs computer functions as necessary according to job duties.
- Teach new employees and students in the theory and procedures of laboratory sciences.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director of Laboratory Services or designer
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors Degree
- (MLS) Medical Laboratory Scientist, or (MLT) Medical Laboratory Technician must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
