Job Summary and Qualifications
The Women's Services Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.
What you will do in this role:
- Help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes, while ensuring adherence to standards of care.
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiples tasks and projects in a productive manner.
- Demonstrate interdepartmental support and teamwork through a supportive and collaborative approach.
- Ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures, mandatory requirements, and licensure and certification requirements.
- Meet mutually agreed upon performance goals/objectives as listed in the Performance Management Plan.
- Establish orientation and annual competency criteria for staff and ensure successful completion.
- Demonstrate ability to identify strategic management initiatives.
- Respond to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff, or patient issues in a timely manner.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- 1-3 years of related clinical experience required.
- Prior leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.
TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center is a 159-bed facility providing quality healthcare to Sumner and surrounding counties for more than 45 years. The facility is the first Accredited Chest Pain Center in Sumner County, a Certified Primary Stroke Center and a designated Level III Trauma Center. The Birth Center at TriStar Hendersonville features a six-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), spacious maternity suites and a lactation boutique for inpatient and outpatient breastfeeding services. TriStar Hendersonville also offers emergency services, cardiology, neurology, orthopedic, surgical and wound care services. In addition to its main hospital campus, other affiliates include TriStar Women’s Imaging Hendersonville, The Outpatient Center at Hendersonville, TriStar Portland ER and TriStar Portland Diagnostic Center.
