Specialization:
Gastroenterology
Job Summary:
HCA Florida West Hospital is seeking a fellowship-trained Advanced/Interventional Gastroenterologist with expertise in EUS and ERCP to join and help grow our advanced endoscopy program in Pensacola, Florida.
This is a hospital-based position supported by strong community gastroenterology partnerships, creating an opportunity for the incoming physician to serve as an advanced endoscopy resource for both the hospital and established GI practices throughout Northwest Florida.
Rather than building an advanced endoscopy practice in isolation, the incoming physician will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with community gastroenterologists who can refer patients requiring EUS, ERCP and other complex endoscopic interventions back to HCA Florida West Hospital across the panhandle.
The result is an opportunity to combine the infrastructure and stability of a major hospital system with the referral relationships and patient base of established community GI practices.
The position is designed around advanced endoscopy, regional referral development and collaborative GI care.
The incoming physician will have the opportunity to perform complex procedures and engage in leadership activities:
- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
- Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)
- Diagnostic and therapeutic pancreatobiliary procedures
- Luminal endoscopy and other advanced procedures based on training and experience
- EUS-guided tissue acquisition / cyst drainage / lumen-apposing metal stent procedures
- Advanced resection, EMR, ESD, suturing or third-space procedures
- Collaborate with Complex GI programs across the country, enhancing visibility and impact at local, regional, and national levels
- Opportunity to become part of the nationally recognized Sarah Cannon Cancer Network, Learn more about Sarah Cannon: Sarah Cannon Cancer Network
