Job Summary and Qualifications
This position supports the mission of The Medical Center of Aurora campuses. As a working supervisor, coordinates the daily operation of interventional radiology while assisting in procedures and patient care. This position is responsible for all vascular and interventional radiology procedures. Effectively communicates, coordinates, delegates, and assigns the daily activities of the vascular and interventional radiology department. Facilitates, organizes, and reviews the daily workflow to deliver maximal throughput of all diagnostic radiology procedures on customers ranging in age from newborn to late adulthood. Prioritizes, motivates, and promotes quality patient care to support the Mission, Vision, and Values of The Medical Center of Aurora. Ensures facility technical and documentation expectations are consistent with regulatory agencies and hospital standards. Positively demonstrates concern and consideration when interacting with patients, medical staff, and employees. Demonstrates independent critical thinking skills for daily activity and patient flow of the interventional radiology department and assumes accountability for personal and team contributions. Monitors competency-based performance and attendance of department, and performs annual reviews. Manages schedules, and monthly rounding of staff with radiology leadership. Assists leadership in long term planning and all aspects of financial performance. Assist in the implementation and documentation of an effective and continuous program to measure, assess and improve performance. Ensures adequate staff and resources to provide for a safe, high quality operation of the department. Is accessible to staff on all shifts, if need or coverage arise. Collaborates with leadership to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and hospital policies. Manages productivity and operations to achieve budgetary targets. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
What qualifications you will need:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License or current certification by ARRT (R). . Current BLS and ACLS certification required for RN. Current BLS for Technologist.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year healthcare experience required. Two or more years of interventional radiology experience preferred. One or more years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Vocational School Graduate
- (RN) Registered Nurse, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARRT-VI) Vascular Interventional Radiography, or (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician
