Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) delivers mission-critical cloud services for leading enterprises around the world. OCI provides hyperscale, multi-tenant services across a global cloud footprint and continues to expand across dedicated, hybrid, multicloud, edge, data, and AI capabilities.
We are building the Molecular Platform: cloud capabilities that help scientific and enterprise customers manage complex data, workflows, and related services. The team is developing initial capabilities with strategic customers and evolving them into reusable OCI platform offerings.
We are seeking a Software Developer 3 to help build and operate Molecular Platform services. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers, product managers, applied scientists, and customer-facing teams to deliver reliable software, understand customer workflows, and contribute to rapid product iteration. You will develop production-quality components while building depth in cloud platforms, distributed data systems, scientific workflows, and AI-enabled services.
Internal Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Implement backend services, APIs, data-ingestion and processing components, workflow integrations, automation, and operational tooling.
Write clean, maintainable, secure, and well-tested code using established OCI engineering practices.
Add logging, metrics, telemetry, health checks, and alerts to improve service observability.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and engineering-planning activities.
Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Go, Python, C++, C#, or similar.
Experience developing backend applications, cloud-native services, distributed-system components, data-processing applications, or workflow systems.
Curiosity and willingness to learn rapidly from customers, product managers, applied scientists, and senior engineers.
Familiarity with REST APIs, source control, code review, automated testing, CI/CD, containers, and cloud services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Develop maintainable code, APIs, data-processing components, integrations, and automated tests.

Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices, distributed data systems, event-driven architectures, or workflow orchestration.
Exposure to data engineering, data platforms, scientific data, data pipelines, metadata management, or data governance.
