JOB DESCRIPTION
The High Yield Leverage Loan Syndicate desk is a global leader in debt issuance. We are seeking a Desk analyst for our North America High Yield/ Leverage Loan Syndicate team.
Position Summary:
As a Desk Analyst within the North America High Yield Leverage Loan Syndicate desk, you will leverage your ability to multitask in a fast-paced trading floor environment. You will be directly involved in deal executions. Your daily tasks will include interaction with our Banking Team, Secondary Trading Desk, Operations, and External Buy Side Investors. You will also be responsible for managing positions including executing hedges.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execution of High Yield new issues, leveraged loans and syndicate short cover process
- Create deal announcements and pricing supplement preparation
- Manage Invitation Wire processing for all High Yield new issue transactions to inform book runners and co-managers of their roles and economics
- Execute trade bookings on all High Yield new issue transactions to allocated investors
- Assist with settlement and funds flow issues using IMPACT, AMS, Bloomberg
- Allocation confirmation emails, track announcements, price talk and pricing
- Knowledge of the Primary Loan Capture system and maintain new issue database and pipeline
- Experience with In market / priced sheet for High Yield new issue transactions market wide
- Ability to maintain Pipeline Tool as new issue mandates are received from Leveraged Finance/DCM
- Ability to speak to market color for Capital Markets and DCM (debt capital markets)
- Provide mid-day and end of day updates including market tone, new issue trading activity and market moving news
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Deep understanding of financial markets
- Exceptional understanding of bond settlements
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and the ability to present findings.
- Ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Primary One orderbook system
- Coordination and Support across business lines
- Integration with HG and EM teams
- Maintain daily loan calendar for sales
- Work with DCM to create deal announcements
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Canadian post trade report filings
- Coordinate with loans settlements prior to allocating
