A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to serve as the Associate Account Executive responsible for expanding our customer relationships with Specialty and Retail Pharmacies, taking our trade and patient support services to the next level. This individual will work closely internal and external Matrix Teams, facilitate resolution of pharmacy operational issues such as trade inventory levels, service and data contracts, and assist with various programmatic activities with access clients. S/he will leverage customer insights to enhance strategic, cross-functional business planning, and opportunity development.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact between BMS, Specialty and Retail Pharmacies to drive appropriate access for our product portfolio, establish strong and sustainable relationships with multiple points of contact, and move BMS beyond supplier to strategic partnerships.
- Develop detailed key account management plans to build strong client relationships and support their speed to patients.
- Lead and/or manage the development, implementation, and assessment of service agreements with Specialty and Retail Pharmacies (as appropriate) for the delivery of products that require Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS), serve as part of our close distribution network, and/or provide us with specific services and/or data.
- Management of assigned REMS dispensing accounts to ensure compliance with FDA mandated REMS program, regular interaction with Risk/Compliance on all REMS related matters at the SP level.
- Implement Quarterly Business Review meetings with contracted Specialty Pharmacies to monitor their progress and outcomes, understand the root causes of emerging challenges, and identify potential solutions.
- Demonstrate excellence in understanding of key customers, including but not limited to their internal structure, marketing strategy, medical and pharmacy reimbursement systems, and processes for disease management, and service delivery.
- Leverage customer insights to enhance strategic, cross functional business planning and opportunity development.
- Design and implement launch plans of BMS products into Specialty and Retail Pharmacies (as applicable).
- Facilitate the resolution of operational issues experienced by pharmacies including, but not limited to trade inventory levels, out-of-stock situations, channel data analysis, returns and product recalls.
- Work closely with internal/external Matrix Teams, analyze data to recognize trends and outliers, and identify innovative opportunities to enhance the efficiency for both BMS and pharmacies.
- Support Sr. Account Executives to manage the logistics of discount and rebate agreements, analyze commercial data, and assist with pre-launch/launch preparation for assigned products with payers, PBMs and other clients.
- Operate in full compliance to all applicable laws and comply with BMS policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, business administration, healthcare management, or other related fields
- 3+ years of healthcare industry experience
- Pharma sales, market access, marketing and/or other related relevant work experience is required.
- Specialty and/or Retail Pharmacy experience is preferred
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Sense of urgency and organization capacity
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fully bilingual: English and Spanish
