Shift: 8am-4pm. (After hours support as required)
GDIT provides enterprise-wide IT services in support of US Southern Command’s (SOUTHCOM) mission critical operations throughout their Area of Responsibility (AOR), which consists of Central America, South America, and select countries in the Caribbean. SOUTHCOM is headquartered in Doral, FL.
GDIT SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) is working to deliver and operationalize information technology (IT) services for all US SOUTHCOM combatant command constructed networks. These constructed networks span the US SOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR). Work performed under this Task Order directly provides US SOUTHCOM a defensible, secure, modern, and efficient IT infrastructure across all combatant command constructed networks.
We have an opportunity for an Information Technology Project Manager / Technical Project Manager to work in support of SOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES).
This position supports SOUTHCOM's transformative move to a Zero Trust Architecture in alignment with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy and Executive Order (EO) 14028.
HOW A PROJECT/TASK MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The IT Project Manager will be required to plan and manage various customer facing IT Projects. The Project Manager will facilitate, manage, and execute project activities from large or complex tasks that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance and migration, and other analysis of projects.

The IT Project Manager will be client-facing and required to deliver projects on time and within budget. Projects will vary in scope and size depending on the nature of the requirement.

The IT Project Manager will work closely with the Program’s Project Portfolio Manager and government client to develop project estimates (schedules, cost estimates, materials, services, etc.) to meet the client’s requirement.

A range of projects may be assigned at a time which may include coordination with various engineering teams, vendors, customers and other non GDIT contract personnel.

Design and develop project baseline schedules, support implementing and maintaining integrated master schedule (IMS) and work breakdown structures (WBS).

Monitoring and maintaining status schedule progress. Working closely and effectively communicate with staff members and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule developments and updates.

Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and management team

Creates and maintains project schedules and documentation

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience in an enterprise environment
- Ability to multitask, critically think, problem solve, and work through complexities and conflict
- Works well as a team member in a fast-paced and often time-sensitive environment
- Coordinate with teammates and customers across the work centers. Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources.
- Understanding of project management process of ascertaining work, executing work, and post-project procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction context

The likely salary range for this position is $104,550 - $141,450. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
