Who You Are
Assists the Superintendent by providing input to identify key success factors for the HVAC crew. Provides leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of HVAC mechanical services, quality, and cost. Directs the activities of HVAC mechanics who install, service, and repair environmental-control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. Evaluates HVAC service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on “to go” scope. Maintains the short range look ahead plans and discusses all deviations with the Superintendent. Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget for installation process, develops an equipment and tool requirement plan, and reviews it with the Superintendent.
This role will be located in Chantilly, VA, and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
This is a contingent position based on contract award
What You’ll Do
As BAS Technician, you will:
Provide Leadership: Guide the HVAC crew by providing input and leadership, ensuring the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute services.
Execute Mechanical Services: Oversee the execution of HVAC mechanical services, ensuring that all work is performed with high quality and within cost constraints.
Direct Activities: Manage and direct the activities of HVAC mechanics who install, service, and repair environmental-control systems in various commercial establishments.
Utilize Technical Knowledge: Apply knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Evaluate Service Execution: Assess HVAC service execution for compliance with contracts, design data, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards. Provide updates and advice on status, issues, impacts, risks, and cost-influencing factors to the project team.
Maintain Plans: Keep updated short-range look-ahead plans, discuss any deviations with the Superintendent, and ensure alignment with project goals.
Monitor Budgets: Review and monitor the cost and man-hour budget for the installation process, ensuring alignment with financial constraints and project specifications.
Develop Equipment Plans: Develop a detailed equipment and tool requirement plan, reviewing and adjusting it in consultation with the Superintendent to meet project needs.
Communicate Effectively: Ensure clear and effective communication with the project team and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and address issues promptly.
Ensure Compliance and Safety: Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards, minimizing risks and ensuring the safety of all crew members.

Qualifications:
Completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience of BAS Technician experience managing similar USG projects of size, scope and complexity, preferably with NRO experience to adequately understand mission needs across the project.
OEM Certification
Proven experience in leading and managing a team of information and telecommunication management professionals.
Ability to maximize technical, performance, and operational efficiencies and minimize lifecycle costs.
Ability to maximize services and capabilities, provisioned as a service.
Ability to work in fast paced environment with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Clearance: Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
