Dover Precision Components is hiring a Technical Sales Leader for our FW Murphy Production Controls brand. FW Murphy Production Controls is a global leader in providing equipment management and control solutions, known for our cutting-edge technology and innovative products. Our solutions are designed to increase the reliability, safety, and efficiency of engines, compressors, and other critical equipment in the oil & gas and industrial sectors. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Sales Leader to focus on our Engine Integrated Control Systems (EICS).
The Technical Sales Leader will be responsible for driving sales growth for FW Murphy’s EICS product line. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Product Management, this position will work closely with Strategic Account managers to develop and implement sales strategies, support key customer accounts, and provide technical expertise throughout the sales process. This role requires deep understanding of the industry and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical solutions to customers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Execute sales strategies that align with the company goals, focusing on expanding market share for EICS.
- Work closely with Strategic Account Managers to engage with key customers, understanding their technical needs and ensuring FW Murphy’s EICS solutions and meet those needs.
- Serve as the technical expert on EICS products, providing in-depth knowledge and support to the sales team and customers throughout the sales cycle.
- Collaborate with customers to identify specific needs and work with internal teams to develop customized solutions that leverage EICS product offerings.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and product development.
- Assist the sales team in developing proposals, presentations, and technical documentation that effectively communicate the value of EICS.
- Travel 50%+ of time.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technical sales within the oil & gas or industrial sectors, with a strong focus on control systems or related products.
- Deep understanding of Engine Integrated Control Systems and their applications.
- Proven ability to support complex sales processes and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to travel nationally (primarily) and internationally 50% + of time.
