The Operations team continues to grow and aims to strengthen the connection of Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) across Collins Aerospace. In this dynamic environment, you will have the opportunity to network across our businesses and functions, all while improving the productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations worldwide.
This is a seven month co-op beginning January 2025 - August 2025 and the work will be completed at the Santa Isabel site in Puerto Rico. Candidate must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment.
What You Will Do
- Participate in the development of standardized processes within materials planning and SIOP in order to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery.
- Support product development and sales and marketing team members with indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand.
- Support in planning capacity and fulfillment demand with plant manufacturing operations as well as improve processes and plans for improving supply capabilities.
- Participate in the development of monthly production volume planning using the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters.
- Assist and learn how to establish clear and robust metrics to measure progress through process improvements for SIOP and track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Good communication and presentation skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
- Microsoft apps experience; Word, Excel (Formulas/ Macros), & PowerPoint
- Mathematical skills
- Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills for in English and Spanish
- ability to collaborate and work on cross-functional teams,
- Coursework for Supply Chain Management, Logistics and/or Planning
