Job Summary:
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator will support the implementation and administration of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across the organization. This role will involve coordinating DEI events, initiatives, and training sessions, as well as providing operational support to the DEI team.
Program Coordination:
- Assist in the planning and execution of DEI events and initiatives
- Coordinate logistics for DEI related events, workshops, and training sessions, including scheduling, communications, and material preparation
- Track and report on program metrics and outcomes, providing regular updates to the DEI Director and stakeholders
Operational Support:
- Manage DEI calendars
- Schedule large scale events
- Ensure timely communication with participants
- Prepare internal and external DEI related meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute to meeting participants in a timely manner
- Maintain and organize DEI resources, including program materials, reports, and presentations
- Monitor DEI Mailboxes and route inquiries to the appropriate team member
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for DEI program inquiries, providing information and support to employees
- Works closely with Diversity Generalist in connection with Horizon’s Affinity Groups to support their activities and initiatives
Research and Analysis:
- As directed by the Director or Program Manager, conduct research on DEI best practices, industry trends, and emerging issues to support education and training needs
- Assists the Diversity Reporting Analyst in the completion of national surveys and awards applications to benchmark Horizon’s DEI initiatives and progress
Communication:
- Develop and disseminate electronic DEI communications, including newsletters, reports, what type of reports? and updates to employees
- Assist the DEI team in creating content for the company’s DEI webpage and internal communications channels
- Support the DEI team in promoting DEI initiatives through various internal and external platforms
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, human resources, project management, or related areas
- Experience working with diverse populations and a deep understanding of DEI principles
- Prior experience in program coordination, event planning, or administrative roles is preferred
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations
- Detail oriented with a focus on delivering high quality work
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
Salary Range:
$61,200 - $81,900
This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
