What does a successful Collection Representative do?

As a Collector, you will be responsible for contacting the proper party (manually or via automatic dialing system), describing the debt and soliciting payment arrangements for the account in compliance with applicable regulations and established policy and procedures. Work to establish rapport in order to overcome objections and negotiate payment of the debt. Detail all discussions and actions in the collections system or database, confirming payment and finalizing the call. Ensuring successful and timely completion of assigned. Clearly detailing issues for resolution.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months collections or call center experience.
- Strong verbal skills along with a professional telephone manner
- Knowledge of applicable regulations
- Highly motivated by individual performance and compensation
- Familiar with computers
- Adhere to designated work schedule. Three early days, two late nights.
