Responsibilities:
You will own the front-end development of our products and collaborate with User Experience Designers and Product Managers and build world-class user experience.
You will implement cutting-edge technologies and will be writing state-of-the-art code to keep LinkedIn at the cutting edge of current technology.
You will provide technical leadership in driving and performing the best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide critical programs. Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding
- 5+ years of hands on web development experience with object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery, semantic HTML, CSS.
- Experience with developing backend services in Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience writing clean JavaScript including experience with modern frameworks (Angular/Ember/React) and debugging tools (Chrome Dev Tools, etc).
- Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility, security and usability.
- Experienced in Unit / Integration / Visual Testing.
- Experience with JSP and Dust programming is a plus.
- Ability and eagerness to program progressive, single-page applications (Backbone / Angular/ Play framework).
