Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
Plan, lay-out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts, equipment and products such as air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, and pollution control duct system. Repair and maintain all metal roofs gutter and downspouts. Repair and maintain metal personnel doors windows and accessories. Repair and maintain all automatic and manual sliding doors and gates. Repair and maintain cable barrier gates and make arc and oxygen acetylene, tig, argon welding in all necessary areas.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Inspect welds and sheet metal work for defects and ensure high-quality standards.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Cut, shape, and prepare sheet metal using tools such as shears, brakes, and rollers according to specifications.
- Perform welding tasks such as arc welding to include soldering, rolling and riveting with precision.
- Read and interpret technical designs and schematics.
- Ensure quality control standards are met in all fabrication processes.
- Use a variety of hand tools, machines, and welding equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Respond daily work tasks and perform necessary repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 23 kilos, extended sitting or standing, and working in normal and adverse weather conditions
- Use of hand and power tools.
- Individual work from ladders, on roofs, uses industrial equipment, and will work outside in adverse conditions.
Basic Qualifications
- English Language comprehension “Minimum Level 1”.
- Have a current driver’s license (minimum “B” Class).
- High School Diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate course.
- Minimum of 5 (Five) years of proven experience as a Sheet Metal Technician/Welder to include duct system fabrication.
- Expertise in various welding techniques and sheet metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with welding machine and sheet metal fabrication tools.
- Have a Driver’s license (Class G).
- Master level certification in sheet metal and/or welding.
All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.
All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.
All male candidates must have completed their military service.
