Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
Prepare sign letters, designs, stencils and patterns; lay out, sketch or follow designs and patterns; create and paint regulatory, warning, historic and other traffic signs; letter doors; and perform related work as required, paint parking and traffic lines on the road and flight line.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Create and interpret design specifications for various traffic signs.
- Design, plan and layout sign graphics and text for various projects.
- Execute general painting tasks, including houses and office spaces to include roofs and downspouts.
- Apply industrial painting techniques for equipment and structures.
- Operate painting machinery and tools with precision and safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Physical requirements include being able to lift 23 kilos, climbing ladders, extended sitting or standing, and working in normal and adverse weather conditions due to work requirements.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in painting and sign making.
- Excellent customer communication and relation abilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Turkish Citizenship.
- Capable to speak, read, write, and understand English Language “Minimum Level 1”.
- Have a current driver’s license (minimum “B” Class).
- Fulfilled Turkish Military obligation.
- Capable of obtaining a Turkish security clearance.
- Technical High School graduate/two-year University Graduate (must possess diploma) and Flexi sign program experience.
- High Degree of knowledge with hand and power tools associated with paint and general knowledge of other hand and power tool equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- General hand tools associated with painter
- Have a Driver’s license (Class G)
- Individual work from ladders, on roofs, uses industrial equipment, and will work outside in adverse conditions.
- Vocational training or certification in industrial and/or sign painting is a plus.
All positions require the applicant to obtain and pass a medical physical that is certified by a doctor.
All positions require a current and favorable Turkish Security background check.
All male candidates must have completed their military service.
