Dover Precision Components is hiring a Continuous Improvement Specialist for our Waukesha Bearings brand. Waukesha Bearings is a leading designer and manufacturer of hydrodynamic fluid film bearings, active magnetic bearing systems and seals for high-performing turbomachinery and rotating equipment in oil & gas, power generation, marine and industrial markets.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
This is an excellent growth opportunity with mentorship and on- the- job training available! In this role, you will contribute to lean manufacturing continuous improvement initiatives with the opportunity to become part of the plant leadership team. Bring background in or learn to:
- Champion continuous improvements by facilitating established operational excellence program under the guidance of Plant Manager and Corporate Continuous Improvement Manager.
- Problem-solve by facilitating analysis of the focus situation that accurately describes the issues and provide detailed map of desired situation.
- Prepare, assist, and provide training to employees on continuous improvement efforts and lean manufacturing initiatives. Provide support to the production staff to ensure that implemented lean principles are understood.
- Track and monitor progress of the productivity projects.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Team-focused attitude.
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment; Bachelor’s or associate degree in industrial engineering or related field preferred, but not necessary.
- Effective communication and influencing skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with strong motivation to contribute on and learn lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Data and process driven with attention to detail and project coordination skills.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong MS Office skills.
ALSO GREAT IF YOU BRING/ PREFERENCES
- Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics; familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
- Lean manufacturing experience and/or training.
- Hands-on experience with continuous improvement tools and software.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment.
