Program Summary
KBR is currently seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist for the role of Information System Security Officer (ISSO). This position will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Tanker Recap/Next Generation Air refueling System (NGAS) within (AFLCMC/WLY) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Job Summary
As the Information System Security Officer (ISSO), you will be involved in the development and delivery of documentation, reports, technical data, and other necessary product deliverables to support system security analysis and certification analysis and support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) as needed. This includes managing, modifying, and acquiring ground stations and platforms supported by the Tanker Recap/NGAS program.

The primary function of the ISSO is to work within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, such as HQ Air Force, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and Military Compartments efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes leading to successful Authority to Operate decisions across multiple platforms
- Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments
- Perform key cybersecurity analyses and use technical risk management principles to assess Air Force Platform Information Technology (PIT) systems
- Review program documentation (e.g., concept, requirements, design, manuals, reports, deficiency/change reports and program schedules) to ensure that established security requirements are adequately addressed and sustained
- Perform document review and editing, as requested
- Support, coordinate, and assist with Program Management/Milestone driven events, etc., including Program Protection requirements as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA Computer Science degree, or a related Cybersecurity fields with 10 years of experience
- IAM/IAT Level II certification
- Familiarity with DoDD 5205.07 (Vol 1-4), DoDIs 8500.01 & 8510.01, NIST SP 800-53, JSIG, and RMF
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance must be held and maintained. U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Degree
- IAM/IAT Level III certification
- Prior performance in role as ISSO
- Experience implementing RMF for DoD weapons systems
- Experience in developing Cybersecurity products e.g. System Security Plan (SSP), Architecture Analysis Report (AAR), Security Assessment Report (SAR), Risk Assessment Report (RAR)
