This role applies advance skills to perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs in a Data Center operation. This exciting data center and technology focused role provides the opportunity to work on both the critical facilities equipment and IT systems running the data center, helping clients realize the potential of their critical digital infrastructure and providing growth for data center employees in the increasingly evolving data center industry.
Electrical and mechanical systems duties include (but are not limited to): Universal Power Supply (UPS) systems, generators, chillers, Electrical Distribution, HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) systems, and CMMS Work Dispatching.
Technology (IT) services include (but may not be limited to): conducting fault diagnostics/rectifying hardware failures and network channel connectivity; installing, relocating, and decommissioning of DCS IT equipment (servers, switches, routers etc); cable installation, hardware upgrades, and replacing failed components; and overall general maintenance & day-to-day operations compliance of the DCS IT services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform hardware installations (rack / stack) and cable installations (routing, terminating,structured cabling), including troubleshooting and testing. Also, perform hardwaredecommissions and cable removal. Coordinate DCS IT asset redundant powerrequirements with appropriate facilities staff to ensure proper load balance and fail-overcapacity to avoid cascading failures.
Prepare and coordinate incoming/outgoing shipments. Compare packing lists withpurchase details to ensure accurate make, model, and quantities are received andprocessed.
Perform remote hands support (e.g. power cycles, physical environment, and cablinginspections, swap out failed components, hardware upgrades, testing of copper and fibercables, handling storage media, and enter troubleshooting commands).
Grant site access to vendors and/or escort 3rd parties requiring Data Center access forapproved activities and ensure their compliance with site standards.
Carry out daily housekeeping, rounds, reading and checks of the data halls; record and report the findings
Support Service Management and related processes (e.g., Service Request, Incident, Change) by creating, updating, approving, and closing associated assigned tickets.

CRITICAL FACILITIES SYSTEMS RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering (M&E) systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
- Under close supervision, complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures in accordance with the company's Environment, Health, and Safety Policy - ensuring all safety processes and PPE requirements are followed. Also, ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are complete.
Coordinate third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with CBRE's developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws/regulations. Accompany vendors on site visits on an as needed basis and ensure site standards are met.
Monitor the Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electric Plant Monitoring Systems (EPMS) alarms to ensure parameters are within allowable operating bands and perform incident response when needed.
Help build and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure that Critical Environment Risk Management (CERM) documents and logbooks are updated.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers.
May coordinate work and assign tasks.
