Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and implementing effective training programs. This role is crucial in minimizing workplace hazards and ensuring the well-being of all employees.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety policies and procedures that comply with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
- Create and deliver training programs on occupational health, first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
- Prepare detailed reports on safety performance metrics and incidents for management review.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for workers' compensation claims management and return-to-work programs.
- Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation law and OSHA regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Foster a culture of safety through effective communication and engagement with all levels of staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role in a relevant industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation law, and occupational health practices.
- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience in training development and delivery related to workplace safety topics.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; additional certifications related to occupational health are a plus.
- Ability to fabricate solutions to enhance workplace safety measures effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis for incident investigations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
