The Dispatcher receives assistance requests from clients and customers, and assigns individuals and teams to respond to those requests.

Basic Qualifications: • Must be 18 years of age or older
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required.
• No experience required and on the job training provided.
Preferred Qualifications: • One (1) year of prior multi-line reception experience or dispatching experience preferred
Responsibilities: - Coordinate and manage the efficient flow of taxis and drivers.
- Receive calls, determine the suitable taxi availability, and direct taxis to customer locations.
- Communicate with dispatch staff to arrange for taxis to be dispatched immediately or at a specified time.
- Manage dispatching operations such as making sure vehicles have gas and oil to keep them running.
- Track taxi activity to ensure that vehicles are dispatched in accordance with local laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with taxi companies to provide service to special events and conventions.
- Maintain communication with taxi drivers to ensure they reach customers quickly or punctually.
- Track driver activity to ensure they take efficient routes and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Use modern routing software in order to develop, alter, and optimize delivery routes.
- Effectively communicate and serve as the liaison between drivers and customers.
- Remain agile and ready to handle sudden route changes or delivery issues.
