What does a successful Senior AWS Cloud Native Engineer do at Fiserv?
As an Senior AWS Cloud Native Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Spring Microservices development and Java programming to develop cloud-native applications using AWS services and the Spring framework. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and agile methodologies.
What you will do:
- Design and develop cloud-native applications using AWS services and Spring Boot, with proficiency in Java and/or Python
- Design and implement microservices architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
- Utilize AWS ECS Fargate for container orchestration, AWS RDS for database management, and integrate Kafka Streaming and Redis Cache for real-time data processing and caching
- Implement services with Spring WebFlux for reactive programming
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment with AWS CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Implement logging and monitoring solutions using Splunk and Dynatrace to ensure the health and performance of applications
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development and operational processes.
- Ensure that all applications and infrastructure adhere to security best practices
What you will need to have:
- 10+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer with a focus on SpringBoot Microservices with Webflux
- 10+ years of experience developing cloud native applications with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS Fargate)
- 10+ years of experience Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
- 6+ years of experience with infrastructure as code tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- 6+ years of experience designing and architecting microservices
- 6+ years of experience with Kafka Streaming and Redis Cache
- 6+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline
