What you will do:
- Design and implement robust, scalable data architectures, including databases, operational data stores, and data warehouses to meet current and future business needs.
- Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical), data integration frameworks, and database designs to support applications, analytics, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and governance across the organization.
- Participate in SDLC with product development teams to help design/approve data models and review/adjust/approve DDL and DML being executed in production, including query tuning and schema refinement.
- Refactor existing database structures in Oracle, Couchbase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake to support and segregate OLTP efficiently, reporting, batch processing, search, and data warehouse needs.
- Participate in Technology Architecture Group (TAG) activities, including presenting and defending data architecture changes.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and managing SQL and NoSQL databases, including full-text search capabilities.
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Oracle databases, including advanced Oracle database concepts.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development.
- Proven experience with data warehousing platforms and ETL/ELT processes.
What would be great to have:
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- Experience with Couchbase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Snowflake.
- Background in the payment or financial services industry.
