Your Day at Lowe's
Pro Sales Specialists at Lowe's are very active, seeking out Pro customers across the store, and answering customer calls or texts via Pro SMARTphones. As a Pro Sales Specialist, you'll spend most of your time seeking out Pro customers, learning about current and future project needs, and building solutions to help them solve their business challenges.
For Pro customers, the right partner can make all the difference in getting a job done right. Your resourcefulness, clear communication, and timely follow-up will help ensure Pro customers' needs are met everyday.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand the Pro business and customer needs to provide the right solutions and assist in locating, selecting, quoting, and ordering merchandise.
- Actively engage Pro customers in the store, or by phone with a Pro SMARTphone, to learn about current and future needs you can serve to help their business.
- Use the expanded Pro Fulfillment Network, including Lowe’s Pro Supply, and approved Special Order Vendors, to order products for Pro customers when not available in the store.
- Actively manage all orders and quotes in myredvest and communicate inventory and fulfillment updates to customers to close sales.
- Utilize selling and quoting tools to build customer relationships and streamline their processes, including timely customer follow-up and consistent communication.
- Offer and assist Pro customers with signing up for MyLowe’s Pro rewards and Pro Credit solutions.
- Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs.
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service as well as learn what Pros are buying across the store.
- Complete other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-2 years Sales experience with ability to identify and sell products based on customer needs
- 1-2 years Experience providing customer service with an understanding of identifying and resolving customer issues, assisting customers with locating products, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business
- Be able to sit, bend, stand, move around the store, and lift items of up to 25lbs. unassisted.
- Be available to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Be able to use common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
- Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by law in your state
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in sales or customer service in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics
- 1-2 years experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including special sales orders
- Professional certification related to the department being considered
- Bi-lingual skills

Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores.
Working Conditions Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker.
