Job Description Summary
The Financial Analyst will partner with the Regional Property Manager to support the execution of the business strategy by delivering operational insights and transactional oversight across an assigned portfolio. Serving as a critical link between onsite operations and the accounting team, this role helps translate property performance data into actionable operational insights. Key responsibilities include reviewing transactional activity, identifying performance trends, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical acumen, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence through strategic initiatives.
Job Description
Essential Job Duties:
- Review and validate transactional activity (e.g., rent collections, vendor payments, expense allocations) to ensure accuracy and consistency with property goals. This includes prioritizing and maintaining a high-volume workload and productivity standards for multiple clients.
- Analyze performance indicators and trends to support Regional Property Managers in evaluating site-level effectiveness and identifying areas for improvement.
- Provide support and guidance through communication with the Operations team. Participate in finance-related meetings, provide feedback on the performance of site-level teams, or engage coordinator teams to understand metrics and workflow of the assigned portfolio. Serve as a connector between onsite teams and accounting, helping translate financial data into actionable insights and ensuring mutual understanding of key drivers.
- Act as a liaison for the Operations team to ensure success in the partnership with other members of the Operations Center of Excellence and Client Accounting as well as other internal or external stakeholders. Collaborate with COE Coordinators and Client Accounting to resolve discrepancies, clarify data inputs, and support timely issue resolution.
- Identify and escalate performance trends by reviewing site-level activity and collaborating with teams to address inconsistencies, inefficiencies, or emerging challenges that may impact portfolio success.
- Support the enhancement of internal processes and consistency by sharing field-based insights, contributing to the development of tools and resources, and reinforcing best practices across teams
- Troubleshoot complex issues; escalate team, client, or property management issues to the Manager as appropriate; propose and discuss issue resolution.
- Monitor portfolio- and market-level requirements related to revenue entries, operational performance, financial discrepancies, and corporate aging follow-up.
- Adhere to policies, internal controls, and ethical standards established by the department and company, and apply quality measures within all areas of responsibility to support the company’s purpose and values.
- Perform other related duties as required or requested.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education or experience
- College Degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
- Industry experience, preferred
- Strong knowledge of Yardi and/or MRI software preferred; knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; strong customer service skills

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 59,500.00 - $70,000.00
