Description:You will be an Avionics Hardware Architect for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies for processor and interface board designs.
What You Will Be Doing
As an Avionics Hardware Architect, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the technical vision for avionics hardware design and development within the AP Line of Business. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering Technical Managers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the development of consistent and effective avionics architectures. Your responsibilities will include:
• Establishing, maintaining, and ensuring the use of approved avionics architectures across the organization
• Defining and maintaining preferred subsystems, requirements, and subsystem allocations to support program development
• Chairing intra/extra Line of Business architecture reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to established architectures
• Collaborating with Engineering Technical Managers and other stakeholders to enforce hardware design and analysis processes and procedures
• Identifying opportunities to leverage common components, minimize duplicated efforts, and share lessons learned across programs and teams
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with program teams, engineering leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have a clearance with a background investigation current to 5 years.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 18 years of experience in avionics design and development
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong technical leadership and hardware architecture skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Experience with MFC design and development processes
• Experience with architecture reviews and design approvals
Desired Skills:
• Experience with requirements management
• Experience with entire program lifecycle from systems requirements development to transition to production and sustainment
• Experience in engineering for proposal inputs and the development of basis of estimates (BOEs)
• Experience leading a team to achieve successful demonstration of program development milestones
• Experience with parametric modeling and links from system and subsystem requirements to hardware models

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
