We have an exciting opportunity for a
Multimedia Business Specialist for Spacesuits to join the team!
The
Multimedia Business Specialist for Spacesuits will:
- Produce high quality media deliverables to support the STAR and Knowledge Capture Team's mission
Deliverables include the following:
- Develop, produce, and release a program to capture knowledge from subject matter experts (SME) via short courses, vignettes, forums, or other venues to capture lessons learned, case studies, storytelling, and their perspectives.
- Review and facilitate the development of instructional materials for educational purposes.
- Provide periodic statuses on progress.
- Key figure in developing, organizing, and presenting the curriculum.
- Production of online video lesson development.
- Convert instructional content into online lesson format.
- Assemble video and images into online training lessons.
- Perform advanced digital media operations.
- Key production leader in recording and editing productions and in review of content
- Key technical contributor in special-event videography services, high-speed video production, photography, editing, and full production of several small vignettes that can be assembled in a documentary series.
- Professionally archive and retrieve recordings and images by storing content into databases and cataloging events (e.g. label and number).
- Direct, produce, and edit video field production in on-site lab environments.
- Coordinate and lead outreach events.
- Manage multimedia aspects of complex studio productions.
Requisition Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related area and normally possess 3 years of work experience.
- Over 2 years of Multimedia Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree in an applicable field
- Experience in producing multimedia development for NASA.
- Experience video editing and digital media software platforms
- Experienced with MS Office and SharePoint.
- Self-starter with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Requisition Preferences:
- 3 years of Multimedia Experience
- Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Familiarity with the JSC Knowledge Capture project, the xEMU, and other spacesuits.

Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
