Job Description:
Role Summary
The Sales Manager — Electrophysiology leads commercial activities to drive adoption and revenue for electrophysiology devices and solutions (e.g., catheters, mapping systems, ablation tools). This role manages a territory or region, coaches and develops field-based sales professionals, builds strong relationships with electrophysiologists and hospital decision-makers, and partners with marketing, clinical education, and operations to execute strategic plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Own revenue, market share, and growth targets for assigned territory/region.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of clinical sales specialists / account managers focused on electrophysiology.
- Create and execute territory business plans, aligning resources to key accounts and growth opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with electrophysiologists, EP lab managers, hospital administrators, and procurement.
- Drive clinical adoption by supporting proctoring, case coverage, and in-service training; partner with clinical education teams to deliver high-quality training programs.
- Lead complex sales cycles, including product demonstrations, business-case development, contract negotiations, and tender/RFP responses.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop account-specific promotional plans and with product teams to relay customer feedback and competitive intelligence.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and clinical data to inform strategy and product positioning.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards in all commercial activities.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance reviews for senior management.
- Represent the company at scientific meetings, customer events, and advisory panels as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Typically 5+ years of medical device sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in electrophysiology or cardiac rhythm management product lines.
- Proven experience managing or leading a team of sales representatives or clinical specialists.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets in a complex hospital sales environment.
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to discuss clinical evidence and procedure workflows with physicians and hospital staff.
