The Security Designer is a critical role responsible for overseeing the successful design of complex security projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of security systems and technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and timelines, ensuring seamless project execution.
Lead the design and review of security systems such as access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
Ensure design packages comply with industry standards, codes, and client requirements, utilizing CAD and BlueBeam for documentation.
Manage project budgets and resources effectively, proactively addressing risks and implementing solutions.
Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, understanding their needs and addressing concerns.
Conduct regular quality assurance reviews and audits to ensure high standards in project deliverables.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in project management within the physical security or low-voltage systems industry.
In-depth technical knowledge of security systems (ACS, SVS, Intrusion Detection, Fire Alarm).
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local laws, as well as life safety and fire codes.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., SmartSheets, Google Suite) and design tools (e.g., CAD, BlueBeam).
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred certifications such as PMP, CPP, or CSPM, and experience with systems like Ccure, Axis, or Flir.
Knowledge of LEED and CPTED principles and experience in construction and facility management industries.
