The successful candidate will serve as a Computer Systems Analyst within the Wind Tunnel Division, supporting the Amentum ATOM Group at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California. This individual will work as part of an integrated wind tunnel test team to support the Wind Tunnel Systems Branch. This position involves a range of responsibilities throughout the wind tunnel test lifecycle, with the primary goal of collecting and delivering high-quality data to wind tunnel customers. The role plays a critical part in supporting the Unitary Plan Wind Tunnel. Key responsibilities include supporting data system operations, performing parameter updates, managing backups, debugging, system setup, monitoring data system terminals, administering and integrating computer systems, ensuring network connectivity, maintaining technical documentation, and performing other duties as needed to ensure data integrity and efficient system performance. The role also requires close collaboration with Test Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers, Instrumentation Technicians, facility staff, and external aerospace customers. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts including Day, Swing, and Graveyard.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
A certificate, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, or relevant experience in a related field is desired. Verified coursework or experience in a related field may also be considered. Familiarity with computer systems, networks, and software is preferred, with an emphasis on UNIX, Unix scripting, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Experience working in small to medium-sized multidisciplinary teams is beneficial. This position also requires the candidate to complete on-the-job safety training to perform assigned work activities. The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
