Role:
Analyzes and develops transportation plans to control the movement of commodities throughout a manufacturing or distribution network to ensure the smooth running of operations at optimal transportation cost levels.
What you'll do:
- Analyzing transportation plans and identifying opportunities for improvements to meet client needs.
- Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to provide information on shipment status, shipped date, in transit location, estimated arrival date, and actual delivery date.
- Generating and analyzing reports of transportation costs, carrier performance and lead times.
- Assisting in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity and providing solutions to reduce lead times.
- Providing the team support to resolve operational situations with suppliers, dealers, carriers and/or CAT facilities.
- Coaching the team on developing professional skills according to the needs/requirements of their role.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree related to a Supply Chain field of choice
- Fluent English (Intermediate to Advanced)

- Evaluation of accuracy and relevance of information using alternative techniques.
- Use of diagnostic tools for problem analysis.
Relationship Management
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
- Effective communication with different organizational levels.
- Detection and communication of customer satisfaction problems.
- Business relationship management with a focus on quick and effective resolution.
- Negotiation and resolution of critical problems with clients.
Transportation – PHA
- Ensuring punctual shipments and resolving logistical incidents.
- Knowledge of costs, invoicing and freight payments.
- Evaluation of national transport alternatives.
- Participation in bidding processes and analysis of carrier proposals.
Supply Chain Management
- Identification of systems and software components for supply chain management and ability to seek process automation.
- Process analysis to detect trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Have worked in at least one of the following supply chain areas: purchasing, logistics, inventory, or distribution.
Considerations for the best candidates:
- Green Belt certification or some Lean certification
- Have worked in a similar or related position to Supply Chain
- Leadership Skills
- Advanced English
