Pratt & Whitney has an immediate opportunity within the Engine Alliance (EA) GP7000 Support Organization for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
The will be an onsite position based out of our *Glastonbury,** Connecticut campus location.
What You Will Do:
Engine Alliance is a joint venture of Pratt & Whitney and General Electric Co.
This position provides the candidate an opportunity to further develop budgeting and forecasting skills while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The analyst will look at trends, risks and opportunities to improve P&L and cashflow forecasts.
The analyst will create financial models, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
This position also supports the EA control environment including review of annual approval authority and purchase order reviews.
This role will enable a financial analyst to develop an in-depth understanding of the GP7000 business and engage in cross-functional financial leadership through collaboration with Members Group FP&A and Accounting and understand the EAC process and impacts on the P&L and cashflow.
The financial analyst can thrive in a fast-paced environment, in an organization that drives profitability for P&W.
Key responsibilities include:*
- Submit timely and accurate forecasts including monthly submittals, annual Plan and long range plan including P&L and cashflow.
- Work with operations to understand volume and review forecasts with management. Identify the risks and opportunities, presenting results and forecasts at quarterly board meetings.
- Work with each Member Company (Pratt & Whitney and GE) to plan, manage and control SG&A and leasepool budgets.
- Provide financial support to both members of Engine Alliance including timely and accurate analyses.
- Review and approve purchase requisitions, understanding both the EA and Member approval requirements. Work with IT on improvement initiatives for the purchase order system.
- Review and update the annual EA approval authority.
- Track warranty commitments.
- Assist cross functional teams for ad hoc requests including business cases.
- Departments Interact with: Both members of the EA (Pratt & Whitney and GE), Group FP&A and Accounting, EAC groups, EA Operations, Customer Leads and Core Systems Exposed To: SAP and EA PO system.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 8+ years of applicable experience; OR an advanced degree in and 5+ years of applicable experience.
- Advanced Excel skills alongside of being a proficient user of other Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with SAP.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
