Role:
The Logistics and Planning Engineer is responsible for defining, developing, standardizing, and deploying internal logistics processes that ensure the efficient flow of materials from their receipt in warehouses to their delivery at production lines.
The role drives continuous improvement, optimization of material flow, and alignment across operational areas, while also leading key strategic projects for the plant related to logistics efficiency, digitalization, and operational enhancement.
What it Will Do:
- Design, document, and update internal logistics processes, ensuring clarity, efficiency, and compliance.
- Standardized procedures (SOPs) related to receiving, storage, material handling, and line-side replenishment.
- Define key logistics parameters, including min/max levels, reorder points, lot sizes, and delivery routes or frequencies.
- Deploy processes across operational areas, ensuring proper adoption and understanding.
- Identify improvement opportunities in material flow using data analysis, process diagnostics, and Lean methodologies.
- Lead strategic plant projects focused on internal logistics optimization, digitalization, automation, layout improvements, material handling, or process redesign.
- Develop logistics capacity analyses and propose solutions to ensure stable internal material supply.
- Maintain updated logistics data in MRP systems or internal planning tools, ensuring accuracy and alignment with operational needs.
- Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure efficiency, accuracy, and process performance.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, quality, and engineering teams to align processes, address deviations, and drive sustained improvements.
- Ensure logistics processes are updated and adapted to engineering changes or new product introductions, guaranteeing proper integration into the internal material flow.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, Manufacturing, Systems, or a related field.
- Intermediate to Advanced English (spoken and written)
What skills will the ideal candidate have:
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Understands basic concepts of materials and capacity management.
- Understanding of the MRP cycle and its relationship to logistics parameters, as well as knowledge of the SAP IM & WM modules. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Uses bills of materials and related documents to define process requirements.
Problem Solving
- Documents problems and process-oriented solution alternatives.
- Analyzes information from multiple perspectives before recommending improvements.
- Uses diagnostic tools to identify root causes.
Project Management
- Uses project management tools to plan and track initiatives.
- Defines phases, deliverables, and risks for assigned projects.
- Ensures project objectives are met through effective coordination.

- Lean certification (Green Belt or similar).

- Location: Santa Catarina, Nuevo León Facility.
- This position is five-day a week in-office model.
