This is a pre-award opportunity located on Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.
The Contractor shall provide a Facilities Energy Manager who shall be responsible for the full scope of NSF Diego Garcia’s Energy Program. The Facilities Energy Manager is responsible for the Installation Energy Program and
is the Installation’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) for energy and water efficiency. The Facilities Energy Manager establishes energy and water efficiency goals in accordance with regional or local directives, and goals established in accordance with DOE FEMP guidelines. Provides leadership to mobilize Contractor resources to implement projects, processes and programs to attain Energy and Water efficiency goals and monitors progress toward these goals.
The Facilities Energy Manager shall have at least five (5) years experience sufficient to give them knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of electrical, mechanical, steam, and heat transfer systems and efficiency, to serve as technical authority for the full range of energy conservation programs under this contract.
The Facilities Energy Manager shall be certified as a Certified Energy Manager through the Association of Energy Engineers.
The Facilities Energy Manager shall have a Bachelors Degree in Civil, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering and scientific fields, based on a four-year course of study.
